This pair of tigers was part of a complicated ritual drummer. The claws of two phoenix were inside the holes, the birds holding the drummer in their beak. The tigers are of solid wood, covered with black lacquer and red decorations. They have charming snouts. The red color of their decorations, ears and tongue stands out against the black of the lacquer.

Rama, the hero of the epic Ramayana, is depicted here in a dance posture while he is shooting an arrow. Even if this sculpture is not very old, it preserves the elegance and the excellent quality of the highest Thai Art.
